Gap Analysis

A Gap Analysis exercise is a highly important method of conducting Business Analysis. Essentially, it is the practise of assessing the difference between a business' current state and a future desired state in order to determine whether there are any inefficiencies or gaps that exist, so that steps can be taken to improve the current state in line with the desired state.

A Gap Analysis exercise can be conducted in many ways and can often be used to help identify gaps in data models when moving to a new piece of software or solution or more often than not, it can be used to identify current (as-is) processes and analyse them against future desired process models (to-be processes) so that any gaps that are found can be translated and quantified into new requirements for iterative improvement or change.

Agile Express Ltd. has a wealth of experience in conducting Gap Analysis and documenting the findings from such exercises to help your business on it's journey of change.
